Policies

1. All prepaid purchases are valid for up to 6 months. Extensions for this expiration can be requested before the expiration date, and if awarded, will honor the remaining monetary value of your purchase for an additional 60 days.

2. If I am made to pay parking fees to access your home, you are responsible for reimbursing those fees in addition to the cost of the service itself. Receipts from these fees can be made available to the client upon request.

3. Services must be confirmed by text 48 hours before your appointment. Services cancelled after confirmation is made may be subject to a fee of half the service cost. 

4. All new clients who have not been referred to me by an existing client must pay for half of their service in advance, and the other half is due at the time of the appointment. This deposit is not refundable.

 

5. Mobile services are limited to a distance of 1 hour from downtown Asheville, NC. Prices are listed for distances of 30 minutes or less. Services provided at locations exceeding 30 minutes from Asheville but less than 1 hour distance will be charged an additional $30 per appointment date, unless 2 or more massages are being provided at the same location, in which case the distance fee is waived.

 

6. The purchase of services, including within a package, are transferable as gifts by the purchaser as long as any additional parking or distance fees for mobile services are paid for by the purchaser or receiver at the time of service. 

7. Any damage done to my possessions (including but not limited to: the table, mat, pillows, sheets, car, or my clothing [such as shoes or coat]) done by a person or animal in the client's home must be financially compensated for at the time of damage.

 

8. Sessions are provided professionally, meaning that any sexual advances made by a client will result in immediate termination of the session regardless of time spent providing bodywork, and the full cost of the session must be paid. I have precautions in place to provide protection for myself against assault, and violators will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Additionally, I reserve the right to audio record massage sessions if I feel my safety is at risk.

9. All prepaid purchases are only refundable within 48 hours of the purchase date. 

10. I reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service with clients who threaten my safety or well-being. Verbal or physical abuse of any kind will not be tolerated, and will result in being banned from receiving services without refund. 

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do you offer prenatal massages?

A: Absolutely! Pregnant clients are given massages in the side-lying position during my massage sessions and are bolstered with extra pillows for maximum comfort. These sessions are offered for either 1 hour or 1.5 hours.

Q: What do you bring when you come to my house?

A: If you are receiving a table massage, I will bring my massage table (includes a cushioned headrest), a table-sized heating mat, set of bamboo sheets, fleece blanket, speaker, hypoallergenic massage oil, and bolster pillow. For Thai massages, I bring a traditional Thai floor mat, heating mat, fleece blanket, 2 bolstering pillows, a towel, and speaker. If you want to purchase an Add-On service, please let me know before your appointment so that I can bring the supplies needed. 

Q: Which Enhancement Services can I get with a Thai massage?

A: The Herbal Medicine and Gua Sha Enhancements can be used on exposed skin such as the neck or feet, or where the client is able to temporarily move clothing aside. You can also get the Foot Polish or Face & Scalp Enhancements during a Thai massage.

Q: What hours are available for booking?

A: Mobile services: I typically book appointments at or around 12pm, 4pm, and 8pm Mondays-Thursdays. Start times are slightly flexible depending on when else someone has already booked for that day. If there will be multiple massages given at the same location, they can be provided one after another and the start time can often be more flexible. I can be contacted between 11am-11pm Mondays-Thursdays. I may respond to texts or calls during off hours, but please do not expect this to be true all the time.

A: Office Services: Appointments can be made any time between 12pm - 8pm Mondays-Thursdays. 

Q: I want to book a massage on a weekend or holiday, is this possible?

A: Typically, no. Weekends and holidays are times that I am usually spending with my family, however I may be available on some holidays or weekend dates for a negotiable additional fee.

Q: How soon can I expect to book an appointment?

A: I typically book out 1-3 weeks in advance, and evenings tend to book before afternoons do. If you have purchased a package, I recommend scheduling all of your prepaid massages as soon as possible so that you can guarantee getting your appointments when you most want to have them. I do not offer same-day appointments.

Q: What payment methods are accepted?

A: In order of preference: I accept cash, Zelle, Venmo, check, and Paypal. I do NOT currently accept credit cards, but if there becomes a high demand for doing so, I will in the future. Please check with me through a text message or phone call before sending any payments.

Q: Do you offer seasonal specials?

A: Yes! I offer discounts to promote my business during certain holiday periods. To find out if there is a current promotion happening, contact me or check my Facebook page to see those offerings. 

Q: I need bodywork but I'm having trouble affording the care I need. Can you help?

A: Yes! I offer up to 6 sliding scale or bartering trades for massage sessions per month, please inquire about availability. 

Q: Can my child (under 18) receive a massage?

A: Yes! However, a parent or guardian must be in the room during the massage or in the adjacent room with the door open. 

Q: I don't have an easily accessible home. Can I still get a mobile massage?

A: If you don't have an easily accessible home, you may still be able to get a massage...

- If you live in a walk up building (no elevator) and live more than 2 floors from the ground level, you can still receive a massage if you are willing to pay an extra fee for me to carry everything up/down those stairs. This fee is determined based on difficulty of access, and some places may be deemed inaccessible. 

- If your home has no parking available, you may still be able to receive a massage if you are willing to pay for my transportation to and from your home (using a service such as Uber or Lyft) from the nearest available parking area, or pay a fee for me to walk and carry my equipment from a parking area not exceeding a 10 minute walk from that area to your home. Fee amounts are negotiable depending on difficulty of access, and any parking/transportation fees are added to the cost of the session. 

Q: What qualifies as "easily accessible"?

A: If you have a driveway, street parking on your block, or a parking garage connected to/next to your building with an elevator, that can be considered easily accessible. 

Q: I have an appointment during a day with inclement weather. Will my appointment still happen?

A: If it is actively snowing, intensely rain storming, or snow/freezing rain is predicted that day, your appointment may need to be rescheduled (for no fee) to the soonest available time. If conditions have made accessing your home or my office dangerous (such as resulting in icy stairways/sidewalks), we will also likely need to reschedule.

Q: Do you offer massages in hotels or Airbnb's?

A: Massages may be provided in hotels only to clients who are referred to me by an existing client, such as a friend or relative of a client who is staying in a hotel while visiting the area. Non-reffered clients can NOT book sessions from their hotel rooms or Airbnb's.

Q: How do appointment times work exactly for mobile appointments?

A: The amount of massage time booked for mobile massages begins only once the massage itself has started. Most therapists count the arrival time as part of your paid time, meaning that if you booked an hour massage at 12pm and we don't get started until 11:15am, you only would have 45mins of time for your massage. I cushion my appointments with enough time to allow for any necessary setup/breakdown or discussion, so that if you pay for an hour, you get the full hour! With this in mind, please note that for mobile services, your appointment time is my arrival time. If you have somewhere to be promptly after your massage, please note that it may take several minutes to park, bring my massage gear into your home, set up, and also break down when we are finished, so plan your day accordingly.
